Despite spending many hours doing business online each day, I don't do a great deal of personal stuff online. I shop occassionally, but everything else is 99% business.

I do have a number of personal profiles with the popular social networking sites, but I use them for business stuff. I speak and email with family, friends, acquaintances and former colleagues on a regular basis, so you will see one or two of them connecting to me online, but only because they have an interest in what I'm working on.

It's my experience that Social Networking Services are exploited or used by 3rd Party Marketing Companies to get users to market/recommend/sell stuff to their connections/followers.

It is my intention to eventually get round to using social networks to keep personal contacts up to date with my photos and videos, but it until then... it's all work.
